Burned-Out AC Unit Replaced With a New High-Efficiency Goodman System

When an AC system finally gives out - especially on a brutally hot day - it's rarely a surprise. These systems usually show the signs for a while. Loud operation, weak cooling, rising energy bills. At some point, patching things up just doesn't make sense anymore. That's where we came in on this one.

The old Lennox unit had run its course. We had it hooked up to our manifold gauges doing a full diagnostic, but the writing was on the wall. Burned-up components, poor efficiency, and a system that was working way too hard just to keep the house barely comfortable. Repairing it would have been throwing good money after bad.

We pulled the old unit and installed a new Goodman condenser in its place. Goodman builds a solid, reliable machine - great efficiency ratings, quiet operation, and they hold up well over the long haul. Once the new unit was set, we connected the refrigerant lines, got everything charged up properly, and verified pressures with the gauges before calling it done. No shortcuts.

That last step - properly charging the system - matters more than most people realize. An over- or under-charged system runs inefficiently, wears out faster, and won't cool the way it should. We take the time to get it right so the equipment performs the way it's supposed to from day one.

An aging AC that's loud, struggling, or just not keeping up isn't something to ignore heading into the hottest part of the year. Whether it needs a repair or a full replacement, getting ahead of the problem is always the smarter move.
